Public Works
Giving back to the community and creating public art
Invasive Species
The Invasive Species (2019) art installation was the first of a series of sculptures that were inserted into sites undergoing change. They were composed of found objects and readily available materials and responded to the spatial peculiarities of lands earmarked for speculation.
Invasive species served as a community message board out in the middle of some-nowhere, greater Los Angeles. This site-specific installation was created to invoke a community space for objects that have things to say.

Portable Park Bench
The Portable Park Bench (2012) was a public space created with the intention of creating public seating in a Los Angeles park.
In a collaboration with architect Car Martin, this bench was fabricated with three collapsible sections made of rectangular tubing that can easily seat 3-4 people or be rolled away. The bench can create space in parks, sidewalks, squares -- anywhere.
